Fall Harvest

Join us for the fall harvest of peanuts, pumpkins, apples, grapes and cotton. Learn how to make peanut butter and apple cider, then taste your efforts.

 

2½ and 3 year-old classes (with accompanying adult):
Friday, October 10: 10 a.m.
Saturday, October 11: 10 a.m.

 

4 to 6 year-old series:
Thursdays, October 2, 9 and 16: 3:45-4:45 p.m.

 

Move It

Ready, set, go! Together we'll look at wheels, tops, gears and pulleys to discover the many ways we get from here to there.

 

2½ and 3 year-old classes (with accompanying adult):
Friday, November 14: 10 a.m.
Saturday, November 15: 10 a.m.

 

4 to 6 year-old series:
Thursdays, November 6, 13 and 20: 3:45-4:45 p.m.

 

Winter Freeze

Find out what plants and animals do when winter arrives. Experiment with snowflakes as we celebrate the winter season.

 

2½ and 3 year-old classes (with accompanying adult):

4 to 6 year-old series:

Beneath Your Feet

Dig into the world of rocks, sand and soil beneath your feet. Investigate earthworms, pan for gems, and put on your miner's hat to explore our bat cave.

 

2½ and 3 year-old classes (with accompanying adult):

A Visit to Lilypad Pond

Who lives in the pond? Study a frog's life cycle and learn which other animals and plants rely on this important habitat. We'll visit with a pond animal that lives here at the Museum.

Treasure Boxes

Explore our collection of treasure boxes as we observe, compare and sort valuable objects inside. Using our senses and some man-made tools, we'll hunt for treasure ourselves.
