Eco-ExplorersOur earth needs your help to stay clean and beautiful. Join us as we investigate ways that we can help keep our planet a healthy place for all living things. Plant a flower, make a birdfeeder, and discover ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.July 7-11, July 21-25, August 11-15 Kids in SpaceCome with us on an adventure through space. Learn about things you see in the night sky and things that are too far away to see. What pictures do the stars make in the sky? What does an astronaut need to live in space? We’ll pretend to blast off and explore how our bodies might feel on another planet!June 9-13, July 7-11, August 18-22 Ocean TreasuresClimb aboard our ship as it sets sail for an ocean adventure! Investigate the ocean’s waves, shells and colorful creatures. Follow a map in your quest for sunken treasures, and decorate a chest to fill with this camp’s wonderful ocean discoveries!June 23-27, July 14-18, August 4-8 |
Kid CreatorsStep up to the workbench to tinker, fiddle, and experiment as we invent a color, build a marble maze, and design a new toy. Hear the stories behind some inventions (by adults and children) that make our everyday life so much easier. Our investigations and curiosity will inspire us to create our own inventions.June 9-13, August 4-8, August 11-15 Pet PalsIs your stuffed animal sick? Do you want to teach your pet dog some new tricks? What would you feed a lemur? Learn how to be a veterinarian, animal trainer, and zookeeper. We’ll use more than just our mouths to explore exotic fruits, scented Jell-O® pictures and Kool-Aid® Pie! Earth TalesCalling all bookworms to join our Earth Patrol! This camp will use literature as a launching pad for investigations of the natural world and ways to keep it clean and healthy. Discover the benefits of trees, explore animal habitats, and recycle paper to make a book of your very own!July 14-18, July 28-August 1 Out of this WorldWhen we look up in the sky we can see a small part of the universe. Learn about the pictures stars make in the sky and create a constellation that you can store in your pocket. We’ll launch our own rockets and discover what makes up our solar system.June 23-27, July 21-25, August 4-8 Deep Sea DiversDive into the water and explore the world under the sea! Sharpen your problem-solving skills by making your own glue, designing a tool, and even mixing a tasty snack mix. Hear the stories behind some inventions; maybe you’ll become the next inventor to create an awesome new and improved product.June 16-20, June 23-27, August 18-22 Caring for CrittersThere are millions of different critters of all shapes and sizes on this planet! Learn about the Animal Kingdom and the different ways people can help and work with all kinds of animals. You will help care for some furry classroom critters as well as be in charge of one special swimming friend all week long!June 9-13, July 14-18, August 4-8 Kids’ KitchenCome into our kitchen and use science to create tasty snacks from simple ingredients. Investigate the physics of popping corn and creating cotton candy. We’ll use all our senses to explore exotic fruits, stir up fizzy drinks, and mix crunchy treats. Why are the oceans so important? Because they cover over 70% of our planet! Come investigate the characteristics of the sea and find out why it makes such a great home to so many animals. Investigate marine animal adaptations including cryptic coloration, mimicry and bioluminescence. |
Believe It or NotWhat’s more fun than watching an episode of MythBusters on TV? Busting the myths yourself! Join us for a week of hands-on fun that will shock even the smartest of scientists. Do you get less wet if you run through the rain? Is it bad to double-dip your chip? Join us to find out!June 23-27, July 7-11, August 4-8, August 18-22 Junior VetsWhat do different animals eat? What kind of habitats do animals need to be happy and healthy? What should you do if an animal gets sick or injured? Learn the answers to these questions through various activities, personal observation and the experience of taking care of an aquatic friend! Learn about animal anatomy, nutrition, animal behaviors and even become Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid. You’ll be given a week-long patient that you will be in charge of feeding, caring for and monitoring as well.July 7-11, August 11-15 |
