Our screened-in butterfly garden, showcases Southeast U.S. native butterflies and their life cycle. The Magic Wings Butterfly House carries only tropical butterflies imported as chrysalis from butterfly farms all around the tropics, while the Carolina Butterfly Pavilion features butterflies that are native to the Carolinas and south-eastern states.
During the hot summer days, the Pavilion provides the perfect spot to sit, relax and study your favorite native butterflies and identify the specfic flowering nectar plants that attract them. Careful observers will also find caterpillars munching away on their host plants and can learn how to attract butterflies to their own backyard (brochures available in the gift shop). |
